Just like Dorothy Parker’s poem last week, this one by Wendy Cope really inspires me. Simplicity meets romance meets humor. Love it. This poem is part of her volume Serious Concerns. Her main concern in this piece of poetry? Love. Or, to be more specific, the men we love. If you’ve ever had a guy who didn’t turn out to be who you thought, you will definitely get this poem. God knows I do. And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.
1. Don’t see him. Don’t phone or write a letter.
2. The easy way: get to know him better.
