A Lost Language

I never really agreed when people said love is a universal language. I think it’s the most personal language we speak. We all show love in different ways towards different people. And given the recent circumstances, our love language – like all languagues – has been forced to adapt and evolve. We’re showing love in new ways. I guess that’s one of the few things we can be thankful for right now…

There is a language on my tongue
that I didn’t even know lived there.
I call it by your love, I call it you.

It is all the softness
I learned about you
And all the seconds you meant to me.

Tell me how to untangle
and unlanguage you
from my lips

when my you
are caught on my tongue
in every single word I speak.
