Sorry I Spilled It

When I came home last night, I opened the door and I was welcomed by the smell of delicious cooking. I’m a food lover so it immediately lifted my spirits. That’s why today’s post is dedicated to food. I love this poem by Shel Silverstein because it’s just so recognisable. It’s one of those things that works great in a romcom, but not so much in real life. I’m not trying it. I’ll happily enjoy my food at a table. Or on the couch. Probably the couch.

The ham’s on your pillow,
The egg’s in your sheet,
The bran muffin’s rollin’
Down under your feet,
There’s milk in the mattress,
And juice on the spread –
Well, you said that you wanted
Your breakfast in bed.

Shel Silverstein
