The past couple of weeks, I’ve felt quite torn. While we are building our home, others were forced to leave theirs. While we are making a life together, others were forced to pack up theirs. While I’m able to see my loved ones whenever I want, others were forced to leave theirs behind. I think that’s why this poem touched me more than it would have a month ago.
