During this periode where we have a lot of time on our hands, we start to think about what’s really important in life. The Big Questions, as we call them. I’m no different. So, in order to get my head straight, I put my thoughts into this sonnet. Spoiler alert: they’re called unanswerable questions for a reason. Don’t expect any epiphanies here.
Our life is made of questions; asking us
To find out who we are and what we want
To find some answers that we can discuss
With others or ourselves; our confidant
What would we do if we made all the calls?
Go see the world and all its people too?
Would we spread love and joy, break down those walls?
I honestly don’t know, don’t have a clue
The most important of them all is this
I’m forced to face this question every day
It will affect my life, but also his
“My dear, it’s time to make a choice,” he’ll say
He’ll get annoyed; won’t think of me as sweet
Each time I can’t decide what we should eat
